Possible Press: Volume 3, Issue 1
Possible Press is a free curated periodical of artists’ writings published by husband and wife team Rachel and Trevor Reese, who recently relocated to Atlanta from Philadelphia and New York. Possible Press’s mission provides visual artists a voice through written form and, in turn, allows readers to glean information not normally evident from solely looking at artists’ work. Begun in May 2010, this new issue—funded through Idea Capital and to be released in May 2013—will celebrate its third anniversary. Each issue is a newsprint edition of 2,000 and distributed internationally, and features an equal balance of emerging and mid-career, female and male, local and international artists. In May of 2011 the publication was invited to celebrate its one-year anniversary issue’s release party at MoMA PS1’s ARTBOOK. In December 2011, Possible Press celebrated a special edition edited by Michelle Grabner with a release party at The Suburban in Chicago. Possible Press is excited to produce their first issue in Atlanta and make new connections with the Atlanta artist and bookseller communities.
