Pressurized Delicacies is building a story that expresses Earth's confrontation with its wounds through a multi-media performance. The story will come alive collaboratively using processes that employ improvised movement, speech and ideation with editorial support from friends. The play starts with the Void of Space-Time, represented by a modular wall of mirrors, confronting Earth. In a dance sequence overlaid with video, the Void orients Earth into perceiving bottled issues within itself. From this realization, Earth departs on a journey of self-discovery by virtue of confiding in its planetary neighbors. This quest will use quilted backdrops, varying performance locations, full sensory engagement, and ballet-like character introductions. The planets will orient Earth back into itself with their respective wisdoms to alchemize its accumulated degradation. This entails costumes shedding, revealing new material beneath; from plastic to foam to metal to liquid. At times, the planets absorb these façads. Other times they're used to create portals for Earth to move through. At the Sun, Earth finds a deep dissolution that allows its passage into The Underworld, now with the Void personified, covered with mirrors and dancing with Earth. In the underworld, Earth synthesizes meaning from its destruction and pivots into its deepest transformation.
